Chelsea McCurry's Internship, Summer 2013 - Part 9

We continue to try and hone in on what exactly the output of the databases means and problem solving how we are going to use it. Some of the issues are simply that not all benthic foraminifera have been sequenced, and many of the samples in the database are partial sequences. What we'd like to do is figure out how to effectively use these huge collections of data to determine the identity of our sequences the best we can. One of the projects that my lab works on which will help with these issues in the future is the amplification of single cells. This allows us to put an image and sequence to a single identity.

This is me analyzing data, focus of my life right now. :)
